Portland’s 43rd annual Holiday Arts and Crafts show was held Sunday at the Expo.The event was run by the United Maine Craftsmen, with 70 vendors arriving from across the state to sell their products to the public. It follows a year of hardship for many independent crafters who rely on shows for much of their income.”I would say 95% of our sales come from craft shows meeting people, talking to them, sharing our product,” said Brian Warren, owner of The Village Woodworker in Oxford. “We were probably at a 40% loss in sales last year.””With no shows at all last year due to the …….
