As the weather gets colder and daylight scarce everyone is reminded that there is somewhere warm, well-lit and fun to spend those cold and dark Friday evenings and chilly Saturday afternoons–at the Shelby Carousel! The carousel is currently open on Friday evenings from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday afternoons from 1-5 p.m.

Friday evenings are full of fun as arts and crafts are offered in addition to carousel rides. Some of the crafts are provided for free, some cost $5. You are also welcome to bring in your own crafts to work on and share. The free crafts available are courtesy of Lona’s Inc.

The Carousel Rest Area of Shelby is a great place for families to come spend a couple of hours and have some old-fashion fun at a very low cost. Carousel rides are $2 each, but for $5 one can ride as many times as they would like! Ice cream is also available on Friday and Saturday.

The carousel is also available for birthday parties and family gatherings. In addition to the carousel there is also face painting, piñatas and a barbecue grill available for your party if you choose. To book a party or for more information call (406) 424-8444.
